Choosing a Preschool

There are many licensed preschools in Dracut and much more in the Merrimack Valley. How do you choose the one that is best for your child? The place to start is with your friends and relatives who have had a preschool experience. About half of our students are referrals from satisfied parents.

If this process is not successful, it is time to start searching. The Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care has great resources for helping families find accredited high quality schools in the Commonwealth. Visit their website for tips on finding an accredited school in your area.

A school’s website provides information about the school, its mission and instructional methods. Every school is different and provides a unique service. Make sure to schedule a tour of each school. Make sure you are able to see the classrooms, observe the teachers and talk to the director or admissions representative. Always ask about accreditation and make sure teachers are certified and are experienced educators.
