Director and Founder: Gargi Namboodri Das
Mrs Das is an AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) certified teacher. She was trained in the Montessori Method by one of Dr Maria Montessori’s students, S. R. Swamy, who also worked with Mr Mario Montessori and A.M. Joosten. Mrs Das is also a certified preschool lead teacher and program director.
Since 1982, Mrs Das has worked in schools in the United States and abroad, including India, New Orleans, LA, and Lowell, MA. Not only has she worked in private and public Montessori schools, but she has also worked in public schools. She has worked with unique and diverse populations, including low income communities and recent immigrants. Before starting Evergreen Montessori House, Mrs Das worked as an ESL and Special Needs teacher.
Evergreen Montessori House was founded in 1993 to meet a very personal need: to provide a quality Montessori preschool education to her daughters. For the past 20 years Mrs Das has worked as the Program Director and Lead Teacher at Evergreen Montessori House.
Program Advisor and Coordinator: Michael Daily
Mr. Daily began his career working with MIT start-ups. He has over 20 years of senior management experience as a COO/CFO of two emerging growth companies. He has over 20years of management consulting experience.
Mr Daily is the founder and Executive Director of Executive Service Corps in Northern New England. He is a board member of Executive Service Corps – United States, a former board member of the NH Center for Nonprofits, and a member of the Leadership NH class of 2011.
He is a graduate of MIT and the Harvard Business School. Mr. Daily holds Certificates in Meeting Facilitation and Professional Coaching from the University of Southern Maine.
Two of his grandchildren attended Evergreen Montessori House.
Program Coordinator: Mrinmoyee Das
Ms Das is a certified preschool teacher. She also has a BSc in Biology and Masters in Public Health. Before joining Evergreen Montessori House, Ms Das worked as a scientific researcher and tutored students from low income communities.
Ms Das was one of Evergreen Montessori House’s first students. In her role as Program Coordinator, she combines her passions for education and science. She developed a comprehensive Health Education program, based on the latest research, and expanded our Enrichment Program to include STEM.
